To hear that PARISH HALL has a hind leg infection and is taken out of
both yesterday's Irish 2,000 Guineas
and the Derby is a massive disappointment .

BORN TO SEA
UKPA)–4
hours ago
JOHN OXX is anticipating a much better show from
BORN TO SEA in the Abu Dhabi Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh today after his
disappointing display in the Newmarket
version at the beginning of the month.
The half-brother to Sea The Stars will be wearing
headgear after pulling very hard in the early stages and coming home a
well-beaten 12th on the Rowley Mile.
"He's been working away since Newmarket and going nicely. The race will
have done him good, it will hopefully have knocked all the freshness out of
him. He was ever so keen and he'd lost his chance after two furlongs,"
said the Currabeg handler.

BORN TO SEA keen to get on with it when jumping from
stalls as before in British 2000 Guineas, with a different rider this time P J SMULLEN and wearing a hood to help him to
concentrate on the job in hand, he gradually stopped fighting his rider to
settle at the back of the field, leaving
it late, he started to weave his way through the field showing an excellent
turn of foot to finish fifth two and a half lengths adrift of winner POWER. Christopher
Tsui his owner and John Oxx Team will be thrilled with that. This is only BORN
TO SEA'S fourth run, second as a three
year old.
It is interesting to note that FRANKEL as a three year old last
year had this very same problem, unable to settle. The number one need to be
able to settle, vital. There are two ways to handle this. On the one hand TOM
QUEALLY did not fight FRANKEL in the early stages of his races but allowed him
to run. On the other hand here with BORN TO SEA in his two races as a three
year old the attempt has been made to hold him up until he settles. BORN
TO SEA is entered to run in the British Derby, but will he be asked to take up that engagement?
PARISH HALL
JIM BOLGER has been forced to rule PARISH HALL out of the Abu Dhabi Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh due to a leg
infection.
Due to the close proximity of the Irish Guineas to the Investec Derby next Saturday,
Bolger has also had to give up on the idea that his colt will turn up at Epsom.

RACING POST (24.05.2012) REPORTS AS

GRAHAM GREEN
"FITZSIMONS GIVES UP
PURSUIT OF LEGAL COSTS .....
"PAUL FITZSIMONS, who
last December emerged from the biggest corruption investigation in the history
of British racing without a stain on his character, has been forced to admit
defeat in his bid to recover a proportion of the legal costs of close to
£90,000 he incurred in clearing his name.
The BHA slammed the door to
any further discussion of the issue when informing the jockey-turned-trainer he
will not receive a penny after the disciplinary panel decided he was not
unfairly treated. There is no appeal against the ruling .....
"The statement added:
Fitzsimons relies essentially on the fact that he always gave a clear and
consistent account of his ride of' IT'S A MANS WORLD and that the evidence
against him did not change from the outset of the investigation. But it falls way
short of establishing unfair treatment. The panel felt he had a serious case to
answer on the basis of the material put before it by the BHA. Although the
panel came to a different conclusion about Fitzsimons' ride than the BHA
advocate, the BHA's contentions were neither improper nor based on flimsy
grounds."
J MARGARET CLARKE TURFCALL
COMMENT - CALLING INTO QUESTION
THIS BHA QUOTE
"THE
BHA's CONTENTIONS WERE NEITHER IMPROPER NOR BASED ON
FLIMSY
GROUNDS ... "
THIS IS actually a case of
improper BHA justice/judgement based upon flimsy grounds, due to the fact that
the BHA disciplinary panel are all Bloodhorse Illiterate so this immediately
places all the issues in contention out of context.
The BHA are punishing people
for achieving True Professional Bloodhorse Literacy in their own right, both In
the Saddle and Out of the Saddle, both in Theory and in Practice. For this
reason the BHA's working practices are redundant, estranged, not fit for
purpose.How
much damage money do the BHA owe Paul Fitzsimons? And all the others who have
been prosecuted unjustly same?
