WILLIE MULLINS EXCLUSIVE VIEWS FROM IRELAND’S CHAMPION TRAINER.

BRITAIN TODAY
“Djakadam the star as we continue British assault. “

“WE’RE on our travels again this weekend with four runners in Britain including Djakadam, who’ll be warming up for the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup when he runs in the BetBright Trial Chase at Cheltenham (1.50).

“It looks a very competitive  Grade 2 and he hasn’t run since winning the Grade 1 John Durcan Memorial at Punchestown last month. He won that race well and we decided not to run him over the Christmas period, and to wait and give him just the one run before the Gold Cup.
“He has decent form at the course having finished second to Coneygree in the Gold Cup and he seems in very good form.

“We’ve sent three horses to Doncaster, all of them with Cheltenham Festival entries. Up For Review has done everything right over hurdles so far, and put up a good performance when winning easily over 3m at Punchestown on his most recent start.

“He’ll be racing over the same trip in the Grade 2 novice hurdle (2.40) and we’ve sent him over as we think the ground, which was described as good to soft yesterday, will suit him better than the testing conditions at home. We’re hoping he can show the same level of ability he displayed at Punchestown.

“Shaneshill, like Up For Review, is owned by Andrea and Graham Wylie and he’ll be attempting to make it three from three over fences in the Grade 2 novice chase (1.00). The trip might possibly be a bit short for him and this looks a good race, but he’s in good form and should gain valuable experience.
“Morning Run, who runs in the Grade 2 OLBG.com Mare’s Hurdle (2.05), wasn’t herself when she lost her unbeaten record at Leopardstown last month. It was her first run for almost a year and we think she’s in better form now. ”

FAIRYHOUSE TODAY:

“THE Grade 2  Trull House Stud Mares’ Novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival  is the race we are aiming for with Limini, who returns from a long absence at Fairyhouse today. She’s had a few hold- ups since winning on her hurdles debut at Punchestown in May but we’re happy with her and looking forward to seeing her in the Grade 3 Coolmore NH Sires Mares Novice Hurdle (3.05).

“I think she’s improved quite a bit since he Punchestown win, the form of which has worked out well, so that should make her difficult to beat.  The ground was good when she ran at Punchestown and, while it will be very different today, I don’t see it  being a problem for her.

“Good Thyne Tara, who goes in the mares’ bumper (4.15), is a nice sort who won her only start at Limerick in May in good style. She had a setback but she’s back in good order and we’re happy with her. She has to have a very good chance. “

Plenty of Gold Cup options
“THE Irish Gold Cup has been lucky for us over the years and we have plenty of options for next Saturday’s race.

“We have seven entries and most of them, including Don Poli, Vautour, and Valseur Lido, will be left in at the final forfeit stage on Tuesday, with running plans being finalised later in the week.

“No decision has been made about pre-festival plans for Vautour and I won’t be saying anything until that decision is made. Djakadamm is one of the seven we have in Saturday’s race but if all goes well with him at Cheltenham today he won’t be left in."

PUBLISHED MONDAY FEBRUARY 1: 8.45am.

MONDAY FEBRUARY 1 THIS WEEKEND'S RACING REVIEW
Week Monday January 25 to Sunday January 31, 2016
Feature Races Cheltenham  Saturday January 30.

Justin O’Hanlon Reports from Ireland yesterday Punchestown
Racing Post today pages 4 and 5.
Pic:  "A smiling Maureen Mullins, mother of trainer Willie, with Ruby Walsh in the winners enclosure after Felix Yonger's victory.  evens favourite "

"Faithful Felix gets Mullins Team right back on track. "

“NOT a lot had gone right for Willie Mullins over the previous 24 hours, but one member of the Closutton string who has proved completely reliable over the past couple of years is Andrea and Graham Wylie’s Felix Yonger, who proved it once again with a highly professional performance in the BoyleSports Tied Cottage Chase.

“Ruby Walsh exuded confidence on the versatile winner as he brought him with a well-timed challenge from the back of the field to account for the evergreen Flemenstar by a length and three-quarter, with the winner’s stablemates also running well. Mozoltov was a respectable third and there were even some signs of life from Twinlight, who was far from disgraced in fifth.

“The winner is a best-priced 20-1 shot for the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase with several firms and one would have thought him an automatic choice to return for the BoyleSports - sponsored Champion Chase at the festival here in April, but that may not prove as straight forward as expected.

“Mullins said:  “I’ll have a word with the owner. He might take up his entry at Cheltenham but I also have him in the Nakayama Grand Jump in Japan on April 16, which we won with Blackstairmountain a couple of years ago. It’s a very expensive race to run in but there’s huge prize-money and he’ll go on the ground.

CHELTENHAM FEATURE RACE

WIN: Smad Place (FR) 9 11-6 partner Richard Johnson Team (Alan) King for Mrs Peter Andrews 9-2

“DJAKADAM, who required stitches to his chest after falling in the BetBright Trial Chase at Cheltenham on Saturday, will go straight for the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup without another run, trainer Willie Mullins said yesterday.
“Favourite for the Gold Cup going into Saturday’s race Djakadam lost his position at the head of the market to stablemate Vautour, who could yet line up for the Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown on Saturday.
“Djakadam was one of a number of reversals for Mullins’ all-conquering yard on Saturday when all four of his runners in Britain were defeated, and the trainer speculated something may have been amiss with his three Doncaster runners.
“Speaking at Punchastown yesterday, when he landed the Grade 2 BoyleSport Tied Cottage Chase with Felix Yonger, Mullins said: “Djakadam got home last night. He has a few stitches high up on his chest but was able to walk out this morning. Our vet had a look at him and was very pleased with him.
“He’ll be walking again for the next few days and once the stitches do their job everything should be fine and the Gold Cup will be his next rrace. I thought immediately after he fell that we might look for another race for him before the Festival , but that won’t be happening now.
“Mullins added: “Vautour is in the Irish Gold Cup on Saturday and there are alternatives for him at Newbury. .[Betfair Denman Chase]  and Gowran Park [Red Mills Chase], although I’m not sure I want to run him before Cheltenham. We’ll wait a bit longer before deciding. well
“Reflecting on his Saturday runners, Mullins added [All told it was a disappointing day with the four horses sent to England.] I’m not sure , but I think it’s possible the three we sent to Doncaster might have picked up a chill on the ferry over.
“Morning Run ran quite well in the mare’s hurdle and probably isn’t quite back to herself but Shaneshill and Up For Review were both disappointed.
“I’m not taking anything away from the winner [Barters Hill] but I thought Up For Review was beaten too far out for it to been his true running, while Paul [Townend] said he was flat out on Shaneshill for most of the way in the novice chase
“Shaneshill probably needs to step up in trip. I’m certainly not ruling any of the three out of Cheltenham at this stage.”

WILLIE MULLINS MOMENT OF THE WEEK
Week Monday January 25 to Sunday January 31, 2016
WM: “It has to be the amazing performance  Killultagh Vic and Ruby Walsh delivered at Leopardstown last Sunday when they turned what looked like certain defeat into victory after a blunder at the last fence. I thought it was curtains as far as winning the race was concerned, and I'd imagine everyone watching thought the same. What transpired was truly extraordinary. I read during the week that it was good publicity for racing, it certainly got a lot of photo publicity but it wasn't good for the heart! "

WM:  DOWNER OF THE WEEK
Monday January 25, to Sunday January 31.
"Probably Avenir D’Une Vie getting beaten when odds – on for the bumper at Gowran Park on Thursday. He had won well at Navan last month and it was looking good for him early in the straight at Gowran. But there was tremendous word on track for New To This Town, trained by Jessica Harrington, who came and beat us in the style of a very smart horse. By the time the big festival meetings are over we might look back at Thursday’s race as having been a very good bumper. “

WM: ONE TO WATCH
Week Monday January 25, to Sunday January 31.
CLUES:
“Brahma Bull is a five-year-old by Presenting  and owned by Rich and Susannah Ricci- we got him at the Derby sale in 2014. He’ll be starting off in a bumper in the near future,

JMC'S DOWNER OF THE WEEK
Monday January 25, to Sunday January 31
Watching Djakadam and Ruby Walsh crash out at Cheltenham on Saturday when attempting to tackle a fence on the second circuit. Showing just how quick things can go wrong, especially when there are 18 big solid fences to be jumped. A big ask for every horse and rider, make no mistake about that.

JMC'S MOMENT OF THE WEEK
Week Monday January 25 to Sunday January 31, 2016.

BRITISH GOVERNMENT BLOODHORSE ILLITERACY IN ACTION:
Financial fraud and corruption used by government, and left ongoing as used by government over the last seven (7) decades, and still to this very day for only their own financial gain. Using the bookmakers to take the blame.

Ripping off big time, all who have achieved true professional bloodhorse literacy in their own copyright.

Both the four legged variety, and the two legged variety.

JMC: Tory government who act dishonestly with racecourses and bookmakers to rip- off trainer's and their teams every single day, left ongoing over the last seven decades, all found to be in breach of "Bloodhorse Literate Copyright."
This morning CH4 Geoff Banks (Bookmaker British Horseracing Gambling Game ) CH4 Tanya Stevenson (Betting in Action British Horseracing Gambling Game) Stats, Market Movers etc spoke about the present  government entanglement mess-up burdened upon the true sportsmen who work with the horses every day to create the daily sport of horseracing.

Bloodhorse Literate Handler - Riders when working on racecourses every day, . These true horsewomen and true horsemen need to be properly paid by racecourses, government and bookmakers when working to present the racehorses to the public on race days, working and travelling these racehorses to these racecourses, a fee of £200.00 pounds an hour is long overdue due to the fact that without them there would not be any horseracing, the work carried out every day with these horses is not being honestly recognised, or honestly paid for, all taken for granted by Tory government and racecourses on a scale considered to be blatant colluded government and racecourse theft,  fraudulently corruptly  manipulated on a massive scale which has been left to go on over the last seven decades a dishonest practice that is not acceptable.

Just same as absolutely key for a Racing Right Equus Medication Zone. Where is it? These governments don't even bother to have a true Medication Zone. Instead they use harsh punishments to warn trainers off for life, taking their licences and livelihood off them libelling, slandering and perjuring there names as crooks. British government only interested in the money they can take out of horseracing. No matter if earned by other people, who government leave to live in cruel poverty.
