WILLIE MULLINS (IRE)  MOMENT OF THE WEEK
As published in the Racing Post on Saturday February 20.Page 16.

“It has to be  Annie Power’s successful return to action at Punchestown on Wednesday . It looked a pretty straightforward assignment for her and so it proved as she won the way she was entitled to. It opened up another Cheltenham option for her and it’s very possible she’ll be supplemented for the Stan James Champion Hurdle. After what happened to Faugheen She came out of Wednesday’s race well.

JMC: ANNIE POWER A wonderful racehorse to own, smart, highly successful. Has learned her prep lessons well, proven by her career form on the racetrack. It's tough for the people who work with these horses every day when they get injured.

“We haven’t made a definite decision about her Cheltenham target and the Ryanair World Hurdle or the Grade 1 OLBG Mares’ Hurdle are all there for her. But with Faugheen an absentee, the Champion is very tempting. Her optimum trip is probably two and a half miles but horses who have got that trip well have won Champion Hurdles in the past.
“If she does go for the Champion then Vroum Vroum Mag is there for one of the other races. Anne Power is entered for. Annie has quite a fan club and there were plenty of people at Punchestown admiring her and taking photo’s.

“WM:  DOWNER OF THE WEEK:
“No surprises here. After his very impressive win in the Irish Champion Hurdle last month we were really looking forward to sending Faugheen back to the festival to defend his Champion Hurdle crown and him having to miss that chance was a big blow for everyone associated with the yard-the Ricces, Ruby, myself and all  the staff.
“The injury he picked up is a relative miner one but it came at a bad time and put paid to Cheltenham and the rest of the season. We’re looking forward to getting him back on the Champion Hurdle road next season. “

"WM: ONE TO WATCH”
Sharps Choice, a half-brother to Grade 2-winning hurdler Baradari, is a nice sort who will be appearing in bumper before long. A five year old gelding by Montmartre, he’s owned by the Supreme Horse Racing Club. “
