Argentina's Bergoglio elected as new pope Francis
VATICAN CITY |
"VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Jorge Mario
Bergoglio of Argentina was elected in a
surprise choice to be the new leader of the troubled Roman Catholic Church on
Wednesday, the first non-European pontiff in nearly 1,300 years, and said he
would take the name Francis I.
"Pope Francis, 76, appeared on the central balcony of St. Peter's Basilica
just over an hour after white smoke poured from a chimney on the roof of the
Sistine Chapel to signal he had been chosen to lead the world's 1.2 billion
Roman Catholics.
"Pray for me," the new pontiff, dressed in the white robes of a pope for the
first time, urged the crowd.
"The choice of Bergoglio, who becomes the first Latin American pope, was
announced by French cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran with the Latin words "Annuntio
vobis gaudium magnum. Habemus Papam" ("I announce to you a great joy. We have a
pope.")
"VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - "Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina was elected in a surprise choice to be the new leader of the troubled Roman Catholic Church Today Wednesday(13.03.2013)."
J Margaret Clarke Turfcall Comment.
Wondering if 'New Pope Francis' Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina will show compassion for all creatures who inhabit this earth as did St. Francis of Assisi (Italian: Francesco d'Assisi, born Giovanni di Bernardone; 1181/1182 – October
3, 1226)[2
On July 16, 1228, he was pronounced a saint by Pope
Gregory IX. He is known as the patron saint of animals, the environment, and is one of the two patron saints of Italy (with Catherine of Siena). It is customary for
Catholic and Anglican churches to hold ceremonies blessing animals on
his feast
day of October 4.[7]
He is also known for his love of the Eucharist,[8]
his sorrow during the Stations of the Cross, and for the creation
of the Christmas creche or Nativity Scene.[9]

race experience. Distance half a length from YOUR TENT OR MINE 15-8f. 12 ran
3.05 Racing Post Arkle

7- 11-7 partner BARRY GERAGHTY handler presenter trainer Nicky Henderson for A R Bartlett
8-15f
SIMONSIG has moved on this
season from Hurdling to Novice Chasing .
Novice Chaser SIMONSIG has
still much to learn about 'Chase Fence Accuracy,' something he can only learn in
practice in a race on a racecourse with partner BARRY GERAGHTY to guide and mind him in practice in a race. (teach him). Distance 2l+ 7 ran.
All Novice hurdlers and chasers will make mistakes whilst learning. These horses have a lot to learn, something that BHA government and punters take for granted, with scant regard or understanding.
