‘It’s great for women in racing’ – Katie Walsh has won the Irish Grand National

The irish grand NATIONAL has been won by Katie Walsh this afternoon at Fairyhouse.
Following in the footsteps of Ann Ferris in 1984 and Nina Carberry in 2011, Walsh becomes the third female jockey to emerge victorious from the race, having ridden Thunder and Roses — trained by Sandra Hughes — to a four-and-a-quarter-length victory at 20/1.
With the younger sister of Ruby Walsh on board, Thunder and Roses stormed clear ahead of Rule The World (20/1) in second and Sizing Coal (40/1) in third.
“I’ve had some fantastic days,” Katie Walsh told RTÉ. “It’s an Irish National, it’s right up there. This is class. This is a top-class day. It’s great. It’s great for women in racing.”

Katie Walsh kicks on for the record books

"Tomorrow is one of the greatest events in the jump racing calendar and one of the most controversial for anyone campaign for animal rights.  However whatever your stance on the Grand National, it should be agreed that tomorrow’s race is a high point for women’s representation in the very male dominated horse racing world as Katie Walsh lines up at the start on 10-1 second favourite Seabass."

By Lewis Porteous:
"Bookies fear £50m hammering from Shutthefrontdoor. "

"HAVING dodged a £50m million bullet when Annie Power fell at the last in the mares' hurdle at Cheltenham, bookmakers were last night bracing themselves for an avalanche of bets on Tony McCoy writing a fairytale ending to his record-breaking career in tomorrow's Crabbie's Grand National at Aintree. AN ARTIST IN ACTION WITH RACEHORSES
IN PRACTICE AND IN THEORY.
CH4 HORSERACING TEAM
A VITAL RACING RIGHT EQUUS BALANCING ACT IN PRACTICE
Something that British political, legal, racecourse and horseracing government don't bother about.
Key for all horsemen, racegoer's and punters' particularly to pick up on, and before punters place a bet. The True Racing Right Equus Zone Rules? Where are they? The licensed trainers and jockey's don't know. So how are they to be expected to compete in a race? Everyone has an absolute right to know and understand what these TRUE BLOODHORSE LITERATE HORSERACING RULES ARE, especially punters.

Just the same as absolutely key for a Racing Right Equus Medication Zone. Where is it? These governments don't even bother to have a true Medication Zone. Instead they use harsh punishments to warn trainers off for years, taking their licences and livelyhood off them libelling and perjuring them names as crooks. British government only interested in the money they can take out of horseracing. No matter if earned by other people.

RACING RIGHT EQUUS ZONE - DEFINED :
TO STOP 6 DECADES OF GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL THEFT AND CORRUPTION.
British Government Betting Right Zone
British Government Racing Right Zone
Calling for government to act over Racecourses who Rip- Off Trainer's and their Team- Handler - Riders
when working on racecourses every day. These true horsemen and true horsewomen need to be properly paid by racecourses when working to present the racehorses to the public on racedays.  Without whom there would not be any horseracing.  Bloodhorse literacy needs to be truly recognised and properly paid for. All  Bloodhorse Literate Achievements have a true purpose. To provide a True Career Handler-Rider Zone with pay to match expertize in and out of the saddle. Racecourses to pay all licensed handler-rider-trainer and trainer-team members who work on their racecourses every day , all  those who care for, and travel with the racehorses every day  whilst travelling  the racehorses to and from racecourses, all those who provide and present horseracing to the public each and every day.

As Clive Brittain says " You've got to take the animals into consideration, They don't come out of the box every morning in the same frame of mind. "
