“Tackling the mile and two furlongs trip will be the biggest obstacle Mshawish has to overcome in Saturday’s $10 million Dubai World Cup at Maydan, Frankie Dettori said yesterday.






“Dettori’s hopes for a fourth victory in the world’s richest race with the Tod Fetcher-trained son of Medaglia D’Oro, who has spent most of his career as a turf performer until connections switched to dirt at the end of last year.




“The jockey’s other winners in the race- Dubai Millennium, Moon Ballad, and Electrocutionist – also made the tradition and it is the distance, not the surface, that gives Dettori most to ponder.



“Owned by Al Shaqab Racing, Mshawish is a 10-1 shot with Ladbrokes for the World Cup behind 2014 Kentucky Derby winner California Chrome and Godolphin’s Frosted.



“Mshawish won the Donn Handicap last time, which is probably the best prep race for the World Cup in America, and his form is rock-solid, “ said Dettori, who travelled to Dubai on Thursday with his son Leo, 16.  “He’s never run that far, though. On turf he was a mile to a mile one and we don’t really know about a mile two on the dirt, but he comes into the race in good form. He goes in as third favourite, but he could run a big race.



“Most of his work is on the dirt and Tod Pletcher said he’s a natural. After he ran in the Breeder’s Cup on turf we thought we’d try the dirt. If I had to pick a fault it’s the distance-he’s got a lot of speed. “



“Dettori also rides Euro Charline in the Dubai Turf and “now that Solow out she could run a nice race” . but Sloane Avenue, who bids to improve on last year’s second in the Godolphin Mile, is his best chance of a winner on Saturday.

“He seems in good form and likes the dirt, “ said Dettori. “He’d be one of the favourites,whereas Mshawish is taking on California Chrome, a Kentucky Derby winner, and Frosted, so his form has a bigger gap than Sloane Avenue. “



“Fields for Meydan on Saturday  - the richest day’s racing anywhere in the world – were confirmed yesterday, Ryan Moore will partner Coolmore’s Highland Reel in the Dubai  Sheema Classic, while King’s Stand Stakes hero Goldream will clash with last year’s winner Sole Power in the Al Quoz Sprint. "

These true horsewomen and true horsemen need to be properly paid by racecourses, government and bookmakers when working to present the racehorses to the public on race days, working and travelling these racehorses to these racecourses, a fee of £200.00 pounds an hour is long overdue due to the fact that without them there would not be any horseracing, the work carried out every day with these horses is not being honestly recognised, or honestly paid for, all taken for granted by Tory government and racecourses on a scale considered to be blatant colluded government and racecourse theft,  fraudulently corruptly  manipulated on a massive scale which has been left to go on over the last seven decades a dishonest practice that is not acceptable.  
 Just same as absolutely key for a Racing Right Equus Medication Zone. Where is it? These governments don't even bother to have a true Medication Zone. Instead they use harsh punishments to warn trainers off for life, taking their licences and livelihood off them libelling, slandering and perjuring there names as crooks. British government only interested in the money they can take out of horseracing. No matter if earned by other people, who government leave to live in cruel poverty.
