RACING POST MONDAY APRIL 18, 2016:
Aidan O'Brien Stable Tour 2016.

By Tony O’Hehir

“THE CLASSICS are fast approaching and Aidan O’Brien finds himself in the position of having the favourite for the first four of them under his supervision at Ballydoyle.

“Air Force Blue, the top-two-year-old of 2015, stands alone at the head of the Qipco 2,000 Guineas market. Minding is favourite for the Qipco 1,000 Guineas and the Investec Oaks while the once- raced maiden winner US Army Ranger is clear favourite for the Investec Derby.

“All at Ballydoyle are excited about Air Force Blue’s prospects of giving O’Brien an eighth 2,000 Guineas win and a 24th British Classic Victory on April 30 and O’Brien’s faith in the colts ability is strong.

“I said after he won the Dewhurst I thought he was the best two-year-old we’ve had, “ O’Brien said of the son of War Front. “He did well over the winter and we’re very happy with him. He’s got size and scope, travels well and has lots of speed. “

MOMENT OF THE WEEK:

Racing Post Saturday April 16 Page14:

“Pride of place has to go to my nephew David Mullins for his fantastic  achievement  in winning the Crabbie’s Grand National on Rule The World , his first ever ride in the race He’s only 19 and gave  the horse a brilliant ride. He’s very much a part of our team at Closutton and makes very good use of his opportunities.

DOWNER OF THE WEEK

“Ruby [Walsh] having to miss out on Grand National day and the winning ride on Douvan and Yorkhill plus the mount on Sir Des Champs in the National after suffering a wrist injury in a fall the previous day. The heartening news is there’s a good chance he’ll be back for Punchastown festival. “

TODAY’S RIDES:
Racing Post Saturday April 16 Page 12-13:
Sam Twiston-Davies said in his Saturday Racing Post  feature.

“Vicente has great chance in race I really want to win. “

The Coral Scottish Grand National (4.10) is a race I would love to win, and Vicente, who looks quite reasonably treated on his best form and stays very well, must have solid claims of being in the shake-up at Ayr this afternoon.
