"Eclipse was never beaten when he ran from 1769-1770 and was
retired largely because of the lack of competition. Super stallion Eclipse's
descendants include Kauto Star and Desert Orchid and almost all thoroughbred
racehorses.
Eclipse (1 April 1764 – 26 February 1789) was an
undefeated 18th-century British Thoroughbredracehorse who won 18 races, including 11 King's
Plates. After retiring from racing he became a very successful sire and today
appears in the pedigree of most modern Thoroughbreds.

JMC: Sandown’s Stable Manager will have prepared three looseboxes ready for all three of Johnny G's challengers to use before the 2.25 and 3. 00 races this afternoon. To which they will return after their race, dressed over, to cool off, and put ready for their journey home. It is a long day out for all to experience. Some horses are bad travelers, others good. Every care needs to be taken to make sure that each journey is as stress free as possible for the horses.

three challengers leave Newmarket for Sandown Park Racecourse this morning at
5.00am. Later we see them arrive at Sandown, live on ITV4's Preview each horse lead down the
ramp of the horsebox to take a turn to stretch their legs after their journey, Next they are led by their travelling handler minders into three separate looseboxes, where they will be loosed down to
relax first, before they will be made ready for this afternoon's races.

art (copyright) of the person in the saddle every day at home as the baby
yearling’s and two year olds start their prep for competition on the racecourses
around the world. The person who starts
out with the task of handling and riding these beautiful creatures is massive.
Every
jockey who gets the leg up on a two year old in a race is wholly reliant upon the
standard of the ground work going on behind the scenes in the saddle at the
trainers homebase.
Clive Brittain: in his book “The Smiling
Pioneer” sets out how vital it is to join-up the right rider for each horse at
home and on the racetrack. Showing how much care needs to go into finding the right rider for each
horse.
It is estimated that 80% of all racehorse
owners are bloodhorse illiterate. Making it difficult for trainers to be able
to communicate on any sort of true level.
The
question is if owners realized just how vital it is to have the right rider in
the saddle every day at home, would they insist on paying a true handler - rider's copyright wage?
So much depends on the standard of care each trainers' team provides at home.
The person in the saddle every day
shapes that racehorses’ career path. Or otherwise as the
case maybe. Mucks it all up - leaving the jockey who gets the leg up in a race a highly dangerous and life threatening ride.

Whip used that abuses a horse. Counting each lash of whip made in the last furlong of a race
The
cruelest way of abusing a horse in a race is to lash out with a whip in the closing
stages of a race when all the horses have given their all throughout the race
and are tiring every last stride they take in attempting to get to the winning
post. We have seen horses very distressed pulling up after a race, some dropping dead even of total exhaustion. Because the rider has been to hard on a horse, because the British and Global Rules of Racing dictate that this is the way that horseracing should be run.
