said that Mick Channon Jnr’s style of writing could almost be termed to be “Bloodhorse
Literate Writing ” he does not write about his own riding at all. One gets the impression he does all the other
jobs that a licensed trainer needs to be able to do, bar the riding part. He
writes things about the people he meets every day as follows:- “He was so
ordinary, in the most extraordinary way. “ It’s almost like he has his own
little language of communicating very close to “bloodhorse literacy”, But more
like what could be termed to be “Human
Literacy” “ The two legged variety of Bloodhorse Literacy”. He says things like
“He was a funny man although he didn’t always know it. “ He talks about “An
ordinary hero … not many of us have been there, with a pic of Bobby, Brian (O’Neil) and Mick.” He says “The joy people get from racing makes it all
worthwhile.” He talks about “His own perspective of life in general” being
different from his Dad’s. Could world war two have something to do with that? Mick Jnr has a gifted way of writing, from the reader's point of view.
