Richard Hughes Champion Flat Turf Jockey 2013 (GB) (Global Group 1 Handler Rider) in his Racing Post Saturday Feature, gave us a preview for this week at Goodwood's five day meeting as follows:

really good if Richard can start off Goodwood 2014 with a win for our Queen partnering her Sea Shanty.
Can he do it? What do you think? And why?
Richard has this to say
about Sea Shanty. “ As always, we’ll have plenty of runners in the handicaps
and one to keep firmly on side is Sea Shanty. The step up to 1m2f in this race
is just what he needs. He was never on the bridle in the Royal Hunt Cup over a
mile, yet stuck his head out and ran a blinder to finish fourth, beaten just
two and a half lengths. It is to his great credit he managed to finish so
close, and this should be the first time this year he’ll be able to travel
within himself during the early stages owing to the slower pace at the longer
trip. He is still improving. Although plans have yet to be finalised, punters
should pay plenty of attention to whatever we run in the Two-year-old maidens,
while another who I think should run well is Robert Cowell’s Intrinsic in
Saturday’s 32Red Stewards Cup. Owned by my good friend Mahil Lahej Al Basti,
who also sponsors me, Intrinsic has already won at Goodwood this season,
beating Ashpan Sam who went on to win at Epsom on Derby Day. Intrinsic was
anti-post favourite for the Wokingham but didn’t get in. Let’s hope he makes
the cut this time. ‘To make the cut’ means that so many horses are entered,
going beyond the safety limit in the race so get cut out. Or held as reserves.

the Molecomb Stakes today he’s done nothing wrong and was an impressive winner
of a Sandown Listed race last time. I’ll have to help him down the hill a bit,

mind his position so he doesn’t get in runaway mode momentum going down hill and frighten himself “
