Our Queen certainly knows how to throw a party for everyone to enjoy to include the horses. Magic. "Sprinkled with Stardust' as Clare puts it.

One word comes through loud and clear from Royal Ascot 2014

"INTIMIDATION"

Joseph O'Brien's answer at the Steward's Inquiry on Friday June 20th following the 5.00: Queen's Vase.

Joseph's words

"Hartnell intimidated Century costing him this race. "

A Bloodhorse Literate Interference Issue caused by Hartnell.  Not picked up by Bloodhorse Illiterate Stewards at Royal Ascot this day. . But picked up fast by three runners battling out the finish of this race to the line,

As reported in Racing Post Results:
CENTURY " headway on outer 5f out. ridden to chase leading trio over 2f out, driven over 1 furlong  out, stayed on to chase winner final 100yds

HARTNELL "chased leaders, closed and not clear run 3f out ridden to lead on inner 2f out, clear 1 furlong out, hung badly left final 100 yards, held on close home. " HARTNELL bumped, and severely interfered with both Century and Marzocco striking, stopping both from winning this race.

Century partner Joseph O'Brien were both intimidated in the race by Hartnell partner Joe Fanning. And Joseph was intimidated by the stewards at the Stewards Inquiry.  Joseph receiving a double dose of intimidation himself. As the stewards took no notice of what he said at the hearing inquiry.  Aiden O'Brien is bloodhorse literate in his own right. As is his son Joseph, and his daughter Katie.

Mark Johnston is bloodhorse illiterate, his wife Dierdre is bloodhorse literate in her own right. Joe Fanning is bloodhorse literate in his own right. But was powerless here to change what happened. Hartnell putting paid striking, stopping both from winning this race. And no Hartnell does not need punishing as neither does Joe Fanning.

As viewed head on camera:

Royal Ascot a right hand track as is Newmarket (Rowley Mile).

"Bloodhorse Literate Interference:"
J Margaret Clarke Turfcall Fact:
HARTNELL partner JOE FANNING racing on far rail in main bunch of runners.

CENTURY partner JOSEPH O'BRIEN 'S careful riding acutely aware of allowing CENTURY a clear run, the field in a bunch racing on the far rail.  Joseph had CENTURY positioned away from the main bunch, racing nearer centre of track.

HARTNELL partner JOE FANNING racing on far rail in main bunch of runners,  HARTNELL remembering the turn for home decided. that was the way he wanted to go. Home,

HARTNELL swiftly leaving the far rail, hanging - veering - sharply heading at racing pace to win (flat out) right across the track to bump into CENTURY who by this time was striding on making his final kick to win this race.   " Dangerous Bloodhorse Literate Interference: " occurred, and was ignored by "Bloodhorse Illiterate Stewards"

JOE FANNING did all he could to straighten HARTNELL, to no avail. HARTNELL was bent on where he intended to get to. It was not Joe Fanning's fault. A fit racehorse in a situation like this is a big powerful creature make no mistake about that.

Jo Fanning is bloodhorse literate in his own right. But was powerless here to change what happened. And no Hartnell does not need punishing as neither does Joe Fanning.

Its the stewards that need punishing for not bothering to run British horseracing properly over the last 6 decades.
