Frankie and Johnny join-up to challenge with Golden Horn (GB) for this 2015 running of Sandown Coral Eclipse 3.45 "A dream package to add to joys of summer. " David Carr.
John Gosden - http://www.johngosden.com/
How will this race pan out to be? What do you think? Beautiful horses their coats silky shining in the sun.
With only five challengers Frankie Dettori partnering Golden Horn jumped slow out of the starting gate, but still quick enough to take the initiative early on to get up there and set the pace throughout with the Grey Gatsby in close attendance upsides, rounding the bend into the straight Golden Horn quickening the pace all the way to the line with The Great Gatsby gradually fading out of contention.
WIN: Golden Horn (GB) 3 8-10 partner Frankie Dettori Team (John) Gosden for
A E Oppenheimer 4-9f.
Four weeks ago Golden Horn 3 9-0 partner Frankie Dettori Team (John) Gosden top (GB)Flat Turf Team lit up Epsom to win the British Derby (12 challenged) by three and a half lengths from his stable mate Jack Hobbs, who has since won the Irish Derby. Massive achievements. Yesterday, Frankie Dettori in the saddle Golden Horn set to carry 8st 10lb. receiving a weight for age allowance of 11lb from the older colts. Golden Horn was the only three year old to take on the older horses competing here.
Weight for age The Grey Gatsby 4 9-7 partner Jamie Spencer Team (Kevin) Ryan a very good racehorse in his own right, now this year a four year old, trained by a top (GB) Flat Turf Team, gave nothing away in their endeavour to pick up every advantage point possible throughout this race.
We are talking about two top professional Global-British Flat turf teams, and two top professional Global-British Flat turf jockeys. At present we are in the middle of the Global-Wimbledon (GB) Tennis Tournament. Tennis players from around the world are here competing at present all have global ranking seeds known worldwide in the sport of tennis, which means global audiences can quickly reference each player’s ability, and sort out what matches they want to watch. Without such guidance the audience in horseracing is left wondering what is what exactly.... huge crowds at Sandown yesterday. In a nutshell the song "Do they know it's Christmas," would have been strangely appropriate to sum up the stark reality of a horseracing crowd not knowing anything at all about what they were watching?
Johnny to Frankie, "Ride him how you find him”

What we watched unfold at Sandown Park yesterday
afternoon was two of the best trainers in the world, two of the best Flat
turf jockey's in the world, and two of the best racehorses in the world. Two
performers who’s build-up has taken three years, and four years of highly skilled
athletic daily workouts behind the scenes.

Cycling Plus's Staff Writer Kate Hodgins headed over to London last week
for the launch of the new range of women's bikes from Olympic champion
Victoria Pendleton ...
“Asked
why she chose to get involved, she added: "I almost never get the chance
to be creative, I'm always being told what to do, so being involved with this
is great. Also because I love cycling and it will always be a part of my life
even after my elite career comes to an end."
