MOMENT OF THE WEEK:
The At The Races Bobbyjo Chase at
Fairyhouse last Saturday worked out well for us with Boston Bob leading home On
His Own and Turban in a 1-2-3 for the yard. We were delighted with Boston Bob as
the testing conditions were far from ideal for him. He had worked well in the
week leading up to the race but the way
that he coped with the ground was encouraging. He’s in the Gold Cup, the Ryanair
Chase and The Grand National, which could be his target, but plans for him are
still very much up in the air.
DOWNER OF THE WEEK:
“Having to rule Faugheen out of
the Champion Hurdle during the previous week was a big blow and having to do
the same with Arctic Fire when he had a set back this week was another one. He
ran so well when second to Faugheen at the festival last year that we thought,
in Faugheen’s absence this might just be his year. We still have Nicholls
Canyon and Annie Power as worthy contenders, although we’re still delaying a decision
about Annie Power being supplemented for the race."
ONE TO WATCH:
“Sois Gentil is a nice
four-year-old by Montmartre and owned by the Supreme Horse Racing Club. . He will be starting off in a
bumper in the not too distant future. “
