REVIEW YESTERDAY'S RESULTS
PREVIEW TODAY'S CARDS
J
Margaret Clarke Turfcall Comment
The
outcome today of Martin Dwyer's appeal of an 8 month Indian ban, reduced back to the original 56-day Indian ban. On Monday Martin will be contacting BHA to
find out if they intend to follow suit.
What this result proves beyond all shadow of doubt that The Royal Western India
Turf Club regulators are guilty of running their horseracing without any consideration
at all for the health, safety or wellbeing of any and all racehorses who
compete in India .
There clearly is no Equus Zone in India
either, the same as here in Britain .
Racehorses to be treated as a piece of meat, with all human rights denied them.
A scandalous revelation.

CALLING THE HORSES
JIM McGRATH
Jim
McGrath to retire from commentary box after today at Ascot
By
Jon Lees 9:08AM 12 JUN 2013
"THE
unmistakable tones of one of the most familiar voices on the racecourse will be
heard for the final time this year after Jim ‘JA' McGrath announced he would be
putting down his microphone from September after 40 years in the commentator's
booth.
The
Australian, who has become a fixture in the UK
since 1987, has decided to retire from commentating and will call his last
races on September 7 at Ascot , where he gained
his first full introduction to the British racecourse audience."

Tom Hogan is probably
best known for his jumpers and his biggest success in that sphere came at the

Hurdle.
That said, the trainer has also enjoyed a good deal of success
on the Flat with Common World twice winning at Group 3 level.
Hogan looks to have a smart sprinter on his hands in Gordon Lord
Byron, who ran a fine race on his first start in Group 1 company when second in
the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock Park on 8 September 2012 and followed that
with a fine Group 1 triumph at Longchamp on Arc weekend when landing the seven
furlong Qatar Prix de la Foret.

Tom Brown getting on well under Andrew Balding's care, with so much to learn and absorb. Andrew has this to say about Tom's progress
"Enormous improvement in the last 18 Months, he is patient and never
panics. Horses run for him and he is very strong in a finish, stronger than
most 5lb claimers. " Balding thinks he can be a contender in the
apprentice title, only disadvantage is he is a bit heavier than Buick and
Probert who won it also for Balding.
