GRAHAM GREEN REPORTS FOR THE RACING POST ON THURSDAY 14TH APRIL 2011

GRAHAM GREEN "RACHEL HOOD WANTS VOICE FOR RACING."

"HOOD PLANS TO STAND IN COUNCIL ELECTIONS
"RACHEL HOOD is planning to take the fight against Hatchfield Farm into the heart of the enemy camp by standing for election to Forest Heath District Council, an organisation who’s officers have appeared to support Lord Derby’s controversial housing development.

“In a two- pronged bid aimed at ensuring the scheme’s opponents have a platform at the centre of local politics, Hood has also joined fellow campaigner Jacko Fanshawe and trainer John Berry as candidates for Newmarket Town Council where the racing industry is not represented among the members

“We are standing for election so that racing gets a voice on both authorities,” said Hood, “and part of that is Hatchfield Farm . “

JMC’S COMMENT FOR TURFCALL. It would seem to be far better for Newmarket the home and heart of British horseracing, for Lord Derby and his Hatchfield Farm land if it were to be developed as a multifunctional World Bloodhorse Literate Horseracing University, where students could come to from all over the world to stay for equine bloodhorse courses. With such great horsemen as John Gosden, Rachel Hood, Frank Conlon, Jacko Fanshaw, John Berry, Monty Roberts, Yogi Breisner, Julie Cecil, Lydia Pearce, and David Goodwin at the helm to ensure the right perspective is reached from the outset and upheld throughout.

Lord Derby was so so lucky to own OUIJA BOARD, and so so lucky to have Bloodhorse Literate trainer and team able to give her all the prep she needed for competition at the highest level on the racecourse world wide. Lord Derby has many people to thank for the successes that OUIJA BOARD achieved. If she had been placed in the wrong hands Lord Derby's top filly may not have ever seen a racecourse or run in a race for starters.

Surely too our own present Queen Elizabeth who herself  loves her horses, introducing Monty Roberts to this county three decades ago, would be pleased to help establish such a Bloodhorse Literate World University as well.

This Equine World Boodhorse Literate University to house and run all British Regulation and Disiplinary matters, uphold the Rules of Horseracing  to ensure that they work fairly, for the horses as well as the people, from  one central office department to be housed within the complex of this New University.

"THE GREATEST JOCKEY"
"The greatest jockey of all time was Fred Archer
In pluck and patience , skill and fiery force -
With lifting  hands and legs and coolest head -
With 'Archer up'  twas Centaur more than horse.
No more at Epsom frantic hosts will pour
Their plaudits  forth as he returns to weigh;
No more vast crowds upon the classic moor
The hero cheer of many a 'Leger' day.

"We'll talk in years to come , with saddened smile,
(Treading Newmarket Heath - and Archer's Town ),
Oh boy he flashed  along the Rowely Mile,
And glory gained upon the chalky down."
