will live long in memory.
"What an up and down day it
was at Cheltenham yesterday as the festival
came to a close. First we had Ruby Walsh and Paul Townend getting injured in
the Triumph Hurdle. And then David Casey standing in and going so close to
giving us a first Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup win when On His Own was just
nudge out by a short head by Lord Windermere. I wasn't sure how the stewards'
inquiry would go. You never are in those situations but the stewards decided to
leave the result unaltered and that's racing. On His Own's performance fully justified
out deciding to supplement him for the race. Only very recently it looked as if
we wouldn't have a runner in the Gold Cup and now we've got so close to winning
it. I thought David gave the horse a
smashing ride and he also did everything right on Arctic Fire , who
finished second in the County Hurdle

RISHI PERSAD has had a tough
assignment over the last three months, in getting himself fit to compete in the
Cheltenham Festival Charity Race at Cheltenham festival on Thursday. (in horseracing the rider has to be as fit as the racehorses themselves) Rishi has put in much time with his tutor in the gym. The saddle slipped during the race which was a disaster. Rishi managed to stay with his horse, which was an achievement in itself. But a dangerous thing to happen to anyone to include the horse.
