A FEW CLUES:

There is no confirmation from government how many fences or hurdle are to be jumped in any of these races. A serious error. After the first race two fences in the straight are not to be jumped as the sunshine causes lack of vision, like when you are driving your car directly into the sun, you cant see anything much at all, like being blinded.

1:50 CHLPaddy Power Handicap Chase Cl2 2m CH4
WIN: BOLD HENRY (GB) 8 10-4 partner Richard Johnson Team (Philip) Hobbs 14-1
20 challengers go to post. Reported going good to soft,  jockeys came back to say the going was hard work. Several horses suffered nasty looking falls,
BOLD HENRY'S Owner John P McManus, a good owner to follow.
Philip Hobbs  a good trainer to follow.
Richard Johnson a good jockey to follow.
Bold Henry a big rangy horse to look at knows his job, and did it well.

2:25 Steel Plate And Sections Novices´ Chase Cl2 2m4f110y CH4
WIN: CHAMPAGNE WEST (IRE) 6 11-2 partner Richard Johnson Team (Philip) Hobbs 7-2
7  Novice's challenged here learning their jumping experiences every one of them.
An exciting double for Team (Philip) Hobbs.

3:00 Neptune Investment Management Novices´ Hurdle (Registered As The Hyde Novices´ Hurdle) (Grade 2) Cl1 2m5f CH4
WIN: PALOUR GAMES (GB) 6 11-4 partner Barry Geraghty Team (John) Ferguson 10-1 Novices hurdlers are racehorses with the L plates up,  plenty still to learn on the racecourse jumping in a race with other horses around them. Barry Garaghty a top rider to have on a novice horse both hurdlers and chasers.  Ferguson talks to Nick Luck who asks what you need in a racehorse. Ferguson replies "A zest for life" . Yes, yes, yes.

3:35 Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase Cl2 3m7f CH4
A fabulous course of fences of all sorts. (home grown) Cross Country Steeplechase fences. Horses need to be confident jumping, jockey accuracy needs to be spot on. No one knows how many fences there are, are the jockeys allowed to know? Punters most certainly need to know before they loose all their money.
WIN: BALTHAZAR KING (IRE) 10 11-8 partner Richard Johnson Team (Philip) Hobbs 4-7f. A wonderful brave horse a true superstar, a massive compliment to Team (Philip) Hobbs.

PAUSE FOR THOUGHT

CH4 Mick Fitzgerald meets up with Jason Maguire at home on the mend from a dreadful fall.

Nick Luck talks to Jamie Stier (BHA Government) about their Wetherby farce. And also their Young Master farce. Stier didn’t say much, but at least he was there.

We don't want our horses going to war anymore
or our boys. we want true sport instead.

The three BBC1 "Rip Off Britain" girls are back
 trying to sort things out.
Gloria Hunniford. Angela Rippon. Julia Somerville.
